Regina Brazil was found murdered on March 31, 2010.

Delta police are hoping that someone has the missing piece of information that will help them crack a seven-year-old Ladner homicide.

Today marks the sevenyear anniversary of the murder of 62-year-old Regina Brazil, who was killed in her Evergreen Lane apartment.

On March 31, 2010, a neighbour who had not seen Brazil for a day or so called police to check on her. When officers arrived they found Brazil deceased. There was no apparent forced entry to the apartment, so police believe Brazil knew the person or persons responsible for her death.

To date, the DPD has employed various investigative strategies, completed 400 investigative taskings and conducted more than 140 interviews as part of the homicide investigation.

"Delta police continue to keep this investigation open and actively followup on any tips and leads received in an effort to identify the person or persons responsible for the death of Regina Brazil," a police media release stated.

Brazil's murder is featured on the department's recently created unsolved cases website (dpdunsolved.ca).

Even though it has been seven years since the murder, police believe someone knows something and that information could help solve the case.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to contact the Delta police at 604-946 4411, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or through the unsolved cases website.
