A federal election is not in the minds of many voters here in Delta.
This finding comes from a recent community poll on the Delta Optimist website.
Last week the Optimist polled 260 Optimist readers and asked the question: Are you happy that a federal election has been called for Sept. 20?
The poll ran from 8/16/2021 to 8/19/2021. Of the 260 votes, we can determine that 123 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:
YES 16.15 % total, 19.51 % local
NO 83.85 % total, 80.49 % local
This result provides for a 95% confidence level +/- 6.04% margin of error in the local community.
