Stolen truck recovered in North Delta

Three facing charges

An alert Delta Police officer helped recover a stolen truck and arrest two suspects in North Delta Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, on April 19 just after 3:30 p.m., an officer on patrol in the 8000 block of 120th St. recognized a black Nissan pickup truck with three occupants (two males and a female) in it. The vehicle was stationary in the shopping plaza parking lot. The officer recognized the vehicle because he was the same officer that had taken the initial stolen auto report from a North Delta resident the day previous.

The three suspects didn’t see the officer, but he kept an eye on them as they exited the vehicle and went into a local eatery. When they came out of the eatery police moved in and took all three into custody without incident.

The two males (37 and 20 years old), of no fixed address, face multiple charges including; possession of stolen property and breach probation, while the female youth had been reported missing and was returned to her guardian without charge.
