The Optimist is giving residents a chance to reach out to Delta’s new police chief this Friday in a Twitter town hall. Chief Neil Dubord was sworn in last week, replacing retired chief Jim Cessford, who headed the department for the last 20 years.

The Optimist is giving residents a chance to reach out to Delta’s new police chief this Friday in a Twitter town hall.

Chief Neil Dubord was sworn in last week, replacing retired chief Jim Cessford, who headed the department for the last 20 years.

The forum will give residents a chance to pose questions and hear directly from Dubord.

Using the popular social media platform Twitter and the hash tag #DPDnewchief, the feature is an interactive one-hour event that invites the entire community in on the discussion around crime and policing in Delta.

The Twitter town hall with the chief takes place Friday, July 10 from noon to 1 p.m.
