The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Tuesday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 26: Tsawwassen

. August 24, 4: 30 p.m., 500-block of Shannon Way: Complainant reported they were the victim of a telemarketing fraud.

Complainant was contacted and advised their computer needed updating and they needed to pay $199 for this to occur remotely. The complainant was able to recover the lost money through PayPal.

. August 26, 3: 25 p.m., 200-block of 52A Street: Complainant reported that their residence was broken into. The main door in the carport was kicked in. Among the items taken were jewelry, DVDs and money. The approximate value of the items taken is estimated to be $1,000.

. August 21, 11: 59 a.m., 8300-block of River Way: Complainant reported that a container placed on a construction site was broken into and tools were taken. Entry was gained due to the lock being twisted off.

. August 26, 8: 45 p.m., 4700-block of 53rd Street: Complainant reported that an unknown person spray painted their vehicle while it was parked on the street. The estimated value of the damage is $200.

. August 26, 11: 46 p.m., 47A Avenue: Complainant reported that two unidentified males threw eggs at their vehicle while it was parked on the street. There was no damage to the vehicle.
