Let’s head back to June 13, 1970 when Delta residents got to cool down to a new amenity on 47 Avenue in Ladner.
That’s when the new Ladner outdoor community pool officially opened for swimmers.
The pool would have been opened a couple of weeks prior but had been delayed to due to a plumbers strike that year.
The outdoor pool in North Delta also opened in 1970.
