North Delta

Celebration - 11400 block 76A Ave. Approximately 4000 people attended the Canada Day Celebration at Chalmers Park. No concerns, some liquor pour-outs, otherwise no problems.

Assault - 80th Ave & Scott Rd. At 0127 hrs (July 2nd) police received numerous phone calls from passengers aboard a Coast Mountain Bus stating the bus driver had been assaulted. The police attended and spoke to driver who advised he had been assaulted by an unknown passenger. Witnesses advised that the suspect struck the driver in the head with his fists several times without any provocation. The suspect is described as Caucasian, 5'8", 170lbs, wearing beige shorts and a black tank top shirt. He was last seen south bound on Scott Rd from 80th Ave.

North Delta

Theft of Auto - 9500 block 117th St. Sometime between 0000 hrs and 0800 hrs thieves stole the victim's 1994 Red Mazda pickup from in front of his residence.

Mischief - 114100 block 92 Ave. Vandals threw a large rock through a window on the victim's vehicle. The rock was left behind on the passenger's seat. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

South Delta

Theft - Hwy 10 & Hwy 91. Between 1600 to 1645 hours, thieves entered the victim's vehicle, which was parked at the overpass at Hwy 10 and Hwy 91, and stole 2 sets of golf clubs, a laptop, and a game console. The items were valued at approx $10,000.

North Delta

Theft - 8900 block River Rd. A semi-trailer carrying a white, refrigerated, overseas container was taken sometime the previous evening. The container held approximately 1100 cases of chilled pork, estimated value $60,000. Another semi-unit was damaged by the thieves so they could access the stolen trailer/container. Added to CPIC.
