A local youngster is in stable condition after being struck by a car while riding his bike Thursday.
The 12-year-old boy was crossing the street in the 5500-block of Ladner Trunk Road just before 6 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a westbound car.
He had to be airlifted to B.C. Childrens Hospital. Initially the boys condition was listed as critical but his has since been upgraded to stable with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident is still under investigation and its not yet known if there will be any charges.
