A six game in three day marathon ended in gold for the Delta Islanders Bantam "B" lacrosse team at the recent Hyack Tournament in New Westminster. Strong leadership from captain Cole Thodos and assistants Mark Yingling, James Greig and Ben Mitchell saw a short benched and hungry Delta squad out hustle and outlast its opponents. Hard work, team play and determination were provided by all players throughout the tournament. Other members of the squad include: Brayden Maskell, Connor Sillett, Stefanos Goulas, Jon Greig, Billy Matwichyna, Ben Simms, Maxwell Stalling, Jackson McLeod, Jared Moloci, Mitchell Godlonton, Douglas Jameson and Frank Carson. Under the leadership of head coach Wally Wolanski, old school and transition lacrosse will continue to be the order of the day as the team rolls towards the provincials being hosted in Delta, July 17-20.
