The NCAA golf season is in full swing and Amanda and Jace Minni are teeing it up for their respective schools in Arizona and Texas this week.

The NCAA golf season is looking much more robust than a year ago and that’s good news for one Tsawwassen family.

For the first time, Amanda and Jace Minni are teeing it up at the same time this week at tournaments in Arizona and Texas respectively.

Amanda is in her fourth-year of studies at Oregon State University but just her sophomore season of eligibility due to being red shirted for an injury in 2019 and the limited 2020 campaign not counting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She is competing at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in Tucson which concludes with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Beavers will play in two more tournaments before next month’s Pac-12 Championships at Stanford.

Meanwhile, Jace has just started his NCAA career as a freshman at Gonzaga University. He is a member of the travelling team that is competing at the Colin Montgomerie HBU Invitational. Minni made his debut at last month’s Nick Watney in Invitational in California, firing rounds of 78-75-73.

Gonzaga has tournament stops in Oregon, Seattle and Utah before the West Coast Conference Championships in Nevada in late April.

Both Minnis are South Delta Secondary graduates that earned scholarships to their respective schools after impressive junior careers.
