The Greater Vancouver Canadians of the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League announced Leland Mack will return for his fourth season as head coach.

The Canadians have been a force in each of Mack's campaigns behind the bench. Greater Vancouver has seen its post-season run end each time by fourtime defending champions Vancouver Northwest Giants. This spring, the Canadians took the Giants to a third and deciding game in a best-of-three semi-final series before falling in overtime.

The BCMMHL was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15-to 17year-olds the opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level for the purpose of development for the next stage of their careers.

The league consists of regional rep teams. The Canadians feature talent from the Arbutus Club, Vancouver Thunderbirds, Vancouver, Seafair, Richmond, North Delta and South Delta minor hockey associations. Players must play within their territorial zone.

Notable graduates of their program include Evander Kane, Brandon McMillan and Brendan Gallagher.

Evaluations for the 201213 season are scheduled for Aug. 9 to 12.

A final roster of 20 players, including two goaltenders, will be announced by Sept. 15.
