Tsawwassen's Paige Collings capped her outstanding softball career in grand style at Drexel University by being named the Philadelphia school's top female student athlete for all varsity sports.

Collings earned First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors for the fourth time in as many years as a Dragon. It was the third time she made the squad as a catcher after earning recognition as a utility player her freshman season. The Delta Heat alumni, who became Drexel's all-time leader in home runs and runs batted in during the 2012 season, finished with eight home runs and 41 runs batted in during the year. The eight homers finished just one shy of her own single-season Drexel record, while the 41 RBIs set a new standard for Dragons driving in runs.

The South Delta secondary graduate set the school records with a memorable performance in a 10-2 win over La Salle University.

She homered twice and drove in six runs.

Collings heads to Oklahoma City this week for the national senior women's team selection camp, slated for June 15-22.

Twenty-six players are battling for rosters spots to be part of a Canadian team that will be competing in three high-profile events this summer - U.S. World Cup of Softball (June 28-July in Oklahoma City), the Canadian Open Fastpitch Championships (July 4-9 in Surrey) and the ISF XII Women's World Championships (July 13-22 in Whitehorse, YK).
