Delta’s Arjun Singh had a leading role in Simon Fraser University’s run to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships in Texas.

The defender helped SFU advance to the showcase tournament thanks to capturing the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division One championship with a 14-12 win over Oregon. The memorable campaign ended with an opening round loss to Georgia.

Along the way, Singh was recognized for his outstanding play, being named PNCLL Defensive Player of the Year, along with All-Conference First Team honours. He led all d-men with nine points and 63 groundballs. He also was named a Second Team All-American.

The Delview Secondary graduate and political science major played four seasons (2017-21) with the Delta Junior “A” Islanders and continues to give back to the sport in his hometown, coaching the U17 A2 Islanders box team. He also serves as an assistant coach with the U13 field team.
