South Delta Sun Devils defensive lineman Travis MacDonald has been named to Team B.C.'s 40-man roster for the 2011 Football Canada Cup which gets underway on Saturday in Lethbridge.

MacDonald is among six defensive lineman named to the final roster following an extensive tryout process. The 6-foot-3 220-pounder from Ladner will be among the Sun Devils' key returning players when the 2011 high school season kicks off in September.

Three other Delta players also made the final cut, including Tsawwassen's Daniel Laventure -- a defensive back who grew up in the South Delta Rams community organization before moving onto Vancouver College. The roster also features North Delta offensive lineman Riley Feenan (Notre Dame) and quarterback Tyler Green (Seaquam).

The Team B.C. coaching staff also has some local flavour with longtime Sun Devils head coach Ray Moon returning for his second straight year to run the defensive line.

Teams competing this year include: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario (East & West), Quebec and Nova Scotia. Saskatchewan is the defending champion after defeating Quebec 18-10 in the gold medal game. B.C. was third in 2010.
