The Winskill Dolphins are known for being a powerhouse when it comes to distance swimming thanks to head coach Judy Baker.

Three Dolphins, who are among the top distance swimmers for their age in Canada, were recently invited to participate in a Swim Canada Distance and Open Water Camp in Sarasota, Fla. home of the Sarasota Sharks and the training ground of Summer McIntosh, a Canadian Olympian, world champion and world record holder.

Naomi Mynott and brother and sister, Zach and Abby McLeod joined seven other swimmers from across the country to train for a week in Florida.

Also invited as a coach for the camp was Baker.

Swimming more than 70 km in 10 sessions across the week, the South Delta swimmers performed exceptionally well as they gear up for provincials and westerns over the next few weeks.

It was a week of hard work, learning and new friendships including the amazing opportunity to share the pool with and meet McIntosh who is expected to lead an incredible Canadian swim team in Paris at the Olympics later this summer.
