On the weekend of March 16, eight members of the South Delta Kyokushin Karate Club successfully participated in the IKOK-C 2024 Calgary Cup karate tournament.
Hailey Hanna took gold in full contact knock down in the 15–16-year-old age group, as well as bronze in continuous non-contact for her age group.
Azaria Lalli took gold in the full contact knockdown 12 years age group and Simon Mills took silver in the senior men’s full contact knockdown division.
Other members participating in the tournament were Ariyana Lalli, Niyah Lalli and chaperone Harvir Lalli. Also along to coach and officiate were Sensei Mike Sandford and Sempai Rob Sonnenberg.
