The Ladner Stingrays will be sending 32 athletes to this weekend's B.C. Summer Swimming Championships at Watermania in Richmond following an impressive showing at the regionals.
Ladner swimmers swam to many personal bests, provincial qualifying times and even meet records under the excellent coaching of Vanessa Clark, Madeline deLobtiniere-Bassett, Nick Angrignon and Danielle Mageau.
Club records were set by Brandon Freiberger, Ali Gracan, Anneka Hunchak, Madeline deLobtiniere-Bassett, Robby Arundel, Sarah Gerrard, Alyssia Hunchak, Danielle Mageau, Francine deLobtiniere-Bassett and Ru Guo.
The highlighted results included:

Jemma deFondaumiere: 50 breast (2nd); Ryan McCarthy: 50 free (2nd).
DIVISION 2
Lauryn McCarthy: 50 breast (3rd), 50 back (3rd); Kiana Sato-Klemm: 100 IM (3rd), 50 free (3rd), 100 free (3rd).
DIVISION 4
Brandon Freiberger: 50 free (1st), 50 fly (1st), 100 free (1st), 100 back (1st); Holly Denham: 200 IM (2nd), 100 back (3rd), 100 free (3rd); Storm deFondaumiere: 100 back (2nd).
DIVISION 5

The Stingays also qualified for the provincials in four medley and free relay events.
