It's been double the trouble so far for the opponents of the Delta Ice Hawks.

The Pacific International Junior Hockey League club welcomed forwards Spencer and Scott McHaffie to the line-up over the weekend and the 17-year-old twins from Surrey had leading roles in road wins over Grandview and North Vancouver.

On Sunday, Spencer had three goals and one assist as the Ice Hawks rolled to a 6-2 victory over the Steelers. Scott chipped in with three assists, while Spencer Traher added a goal and one helper.

Alex Martin and Mitch Smith, another recent pick-up for the club, also scored. Glenn Ferguson turned aside 34 shots for the win.

One night earlier in North Vancouver, Spencer McHaffie also scored in the win over the Wolf Pack. Cody Smith, Kolten Grieve, Ryan Cuthbert and Martin had the other Delta goals.

The McHaffies began the current season in the B.C. Hockey League with Prince George before joining Delta.

The Ice Hawks also made a trade last week, sending forward Sam Vikich to North Delta for goalie Alex Anhert.
