The Storm dropped a 4-1 decision to the Kamloops Lions on Tuesday morning, falling to 0-1-1 in round-robin play with two games remaining.

South Delta will need to finish in the top two of its group to advance to Friday's quarter-finals.

Kamloops jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening 61 seconds of play and the locals never could recover. It was 3-0 before Joseph Kishluchi put South Delta on the board in the late stages of the second period.

The Storm opened the tournament on Boxing Day by playing the Vancouver Thunderbirds to a 2-2 draw in a battle of Pacific Coast tier two teams. Joel Matson and Jordie Malanfant scored second period goals for South Delta.

The Storm was slated to play the Spokane Jr. Chiefs yesterday afternoon then conclude round-robin play Thursday against the Vernon Vipers.

The team entered the tournament with a solid 6-2-2 record in regular season play.
