South Delta Rams spring flag football program capped off a successful season at the provincial championships in Kelowna.

The Rams U14 squad captured the silver medal after a gutsy 23-14 loss to a heavily favoured team coached by former B.C. Lion Bobby Singh.

Coaches Brent Calvert and Dan Matwichyna are very proud of the team for entering the tournament ranked seventh and battling their way through four higher ranked teams to reach the championship game.

The roster includes: Cooper Jones, Grant McDonald, Stefanos Goulas, Jordan Drab, Lucas Fair, James Greig, Maxwell Stalling, Douglas Jameson, Billy Matwichyna and Michael Calvert.

The U16 Rams finished fifth, while the Andy Grieg coached U14 Rams placed second on the consolation side of the tournament.

Overall it was a great experience for the kids, their families and the Rams organization to send five teams to the provincials.
