The 20-year-old pitcher from Ladner, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 Major League Basball Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, was promoted earlier this week to his hometown Vancouver Canadians of the Short Season Single-A Pacific Northwest League.

The Delta secondary graduate made his debut on Monday night in Eugene, Oregon - working 5-and-2/3 innings in a 5-3 loss. Robson surrendered just three hits and one walk, while striking out four in a no decision. He is expected to start again this weekend at Nat Bailey Stadium against the Hillsboro Hilltops.

Robson was promoted from the the Bluefield Bluejays of the Rookie Applachian League where he had a 3-0 record and a 1.38 earned runs average in six appearances, including five starts. He also recorded 18 strikeouts in 26 innings of work.

He began his pro career in Bluefield last summer where made just three starts before his season was cut short with a sore elbow.

Robson arrived at his East Ladner home in the early hours of Wednesday morning and will be able to live with his family during his time with the Canadians.
