The South Delta Rams will be sending a whopping five teams to the 2012 Provincial Flag Football Championships, slated for June 10th in Kelowna.
"There's been explosive growth in the spring flag game this year, with many kids getting their first football experience in the fast-paced passing game," reports Rams new President Tim Brumby.
Rams Coaches Liaison Bruce McDonald hopes many of those kids will also try out for the more established fall tackle game. "It's one of the few sports where all the equipment except your cleats is provided by the association," he noted.
The Rams will be hosting a players skill camp at Dennison Park on Sunday at 10 a.m. for players born between 1997-2006. Participants will be put through skills and drills of the tackle and flag versions of the games.
