South Delta pitchers Taylor Woodward (left) and Montana Monk are busy preparing for the upcoming Canadian Pee Wee "A" Softball Championships in Vaughn, ON. The teammates and good friends helped the Delta '97 Heat earn the trip back east by finishing third at the recent provincial championships. On top of regular three hour team practices, Woodward and Monk are putting plenty of additional pitching time in to gear up for this big event which is slated for Aug. 14-22. The Heat is the top rep girls softball program in the municipality and field teams from Squirt through to Midget with talent from all three associations - North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.
