A trio of South Delta Minor Hockey alumni have helped the Greater Vancouver Canadians capture the B.C. Elite Hockey League U15 AAA provincial playoff championship earlier this month in Langley.

Tsawwassen’s Dominic Trolland, Kaden Meyer and Vlad Ursache all came through the Storm rep program before taken their careers to the regional level.

The Canadians saved their best hockey of the season for last, rolling to a 6-1-0 record in the playoffs after finishing fourth in the regular season standings with a 17-9-2-2 record.

Their march to the championship included a quarter-final win over the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs, then a 3-2 semi-final thriller against the Valley West Giants thanks to an overtime goal from Luca Martyniuk.

The momentum continued into the final against the Rockets where Greater Vancouver produced its first win of the campaign against the regular season champions.
