South Delta Sun Devils football players Austin Pearson (left) and Aaron Parker helped B.C. capture the inaugural ABC Rising Stars Border Bowl with a 30-23 victory over Alberta.
Pearson was team co-captain and starting middle linebacker. He came up with a key tackle at the goalline in the fourth quarter with Alberta threatening to tie the game. Parker then helped B.C control the ball the rest of the way with strong play at offensive guard.
The game took place in Kelowna. Pearson and Parker earned their spots on the B.C. roster through an earlier tryout camp.
