Taylor leads Pioneers comeback win

Ladner Pioneers overcame a first period scare to remain perfect in the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association. The Pioneers roared back from a 5-2 first period deficit to edge the Royal City Capitals 14-13 last Thursday.

The Pioneers roared back from a 5-2 first period deficit to edge the Royal City Capitals 14-13 last Thursday.

Ladner took control with a pair of goals from Cam Taylor and another from Quinn Waddington to start the second period.

Taylor finished the night with five goals and two assists. Waddington added a hat trick, with singles to Chris Fox, Baun Adlington, Corey Williamson, Scott Boyle and Travis St. Germain. Fox added six assists.

Rob Cook got the win in net, stopping 17 shots.

The Pioneers (6-0) return to action tonight in Abbotsford against the Valley Rebels.

Their next home game is June 27 against the North Shore Indians.
