Amanda Minni is concluding her university golf career in style.

The South Delta Secondary graduate and Oregon State University (OSU) senior has helped the Beavers advance to the NCAA Championships for just the second time in the program’s history.

OSU had its best-ever finish at the NCAA Westfield Regionals in Indiana, placing second in the team standings with a 17-under 54-hole total at the 6,300-yard Club at Chatham. The Beavers now move on to the NCAA Championships, May 19-24 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Their only other appearance at nationals was in 1998.

Minni carded rounds of 72-73-72 to finish 26th on the individual leaderboard. Her final round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5, 510-yard fifth hole.

Oregon State finished two shots back of Mississippi State. Vanderbilt (16-under), Virginia (15-under) and Tulsa (9-under) also advanced to nationals.

It was back in 2017 when Minni earned a scholarship to OSU after a stellar junior career under the guidance of her dad, local teaching professional Scott Minni. She has taken advantage of the COVID pandemic extending her eligibility by two seasons to earn a Masters degree in business.

Amanda’s brother Jace just completed his junior year at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. He earned his first-ever NCAA win in April at Seattle University’s Skyhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay.
