The West Coast Classic returns to the grounds of the Vancouver Polo Club in East Ladner this weekend.

Looking for something different to do this weekend to enjoy the summer weather in South Delta?

The annual West Coast Classic Polo Tournament returns to the grounds of the Vancouver Polo Club, located at 3948 88th Street in East Ladner, featuring matches on Saturday (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.- 3p.m.).

The cost for spectators is $15 for each day or $40 per carload with tailgating encouraged as cars can park alongside the field to watch the action. Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and “dress-up” for the occasion.

Food trucks will also be on site and the “Wandering Tap” mobile bar will be serving ice cold refreshments.

The event, which will feature teams from both sides of the border, serves as a fundraiser Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities.

Since opening in May 2014, the Vancouver Polo Club has been offering polo lessons and clinics, practice games, tournaments and corporate and charity events at its facility. It also teams up with the Southlands Riding Club to host the International Polo Festival.
