The eighth annual Party In Da House Tournament proved hard work is paying off for the South Delta Wolves.

The eighth annual Party In Da House Tournament proved hard work is paying off for the South Delta Wolves.

Coming off a disappointing semi-final loss at the Richmond Minor Icebreaker Tournament and owning a 2-1-2 third place record in tier two league play, the Wolves were at their best against local competition, rolling to four consecutive victories to take Atom Division honours.

The run to the championship began with a 5-0 win over the Raiders and continued with victories against the Ice Devils (9-0) and Vipers (4-1) to advance to the championship game. A rematch saw the Wolves overcome a determined effort by the Raiders to prevail 3-1.

The end result was the product of the work the players have been putting in at early morning practices, with an emphasis on individual skills and game play awareness.

Keldon Olmstead, Max Niderost, Quinn O'Connor and Andrew Hansen-Zerr collected Game MVP awards.

The Wolves roster also features: Finn Jarvis, Adam Bramwell, Sam Husdon, Lucas Brind, Max Niderost, Tyler Falcade, Sam Tisley, Stuart Velestuk, Jackson Hanlon, Jackson Vantol, Jordan Hawksworth and Ryan Kadyschuk.

The players are to be congratulated for their commitment and hard work. Also credit to the parents for their tremendous support and helping to provide a positive hockey environment for these kids.

The coach staff includes: head coach Beau Olmstead and assistants Mark Tilsey, Pete Niderost, Glen Jarvis and Bruce Velestuk.
