BREAKING: Traffic delays expected following semi-trucks and vehicle collision

Incident happened at Highway 17 and 80th (Tilbury)

Delta police are on the scene of a collision at Highway 17 at 80th St. (Tilbury) Tuesday afternoon involving two semi-trucks and a vehicle.

According to the DPD traffic unit, traffic delays should be expected for several hours as heavy wreckers are required to remove the tractor units.

Eastbound through lanes are unaffected, although there is one lane open westbound, access to Tilbury from the west is closed and the exit from Tilbury to the east is closed.

Delta police say that two people are reported to be injured, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Investigation into the collision continues.
