Car nearly crashes into Tsawwassen Library

The Tsawwassen Library was closed Wednesday morning for a short period after a driver nearly crashed through the door.

According to Delta police, a driver apparently high-centred their vehicle over top of one of the cement barriers in the parking spots by the library.

“Fire was called to the scene and request police attendance,” said DPD spokesperson Cris Leykauf. “According to the file the vehicle didn’t actually hit the building, though the bumper is right beside or perhaps touching the building.”

She said there were no injuries, no structural damage to the building, but significant damage to the vehicle.

Police are investigating.
