A major hotel that’s part of the Century Group’s new high-rise in Surrey officially opened today.
The Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection, part of the 3 Civic Plaza project, is located next to Surrey City Centre Skytrain. At 52 storeys, 3 Civic Plaza is the tallest building south of the Fraser and third tallest in B.C.
The Civic Hotel section has 144 rooms over 16 floors of the complex. It’s is a boutique hotel that includes such features as a conference floor, state-of-the-art fitness centre and restaurants, as well as a 25-metre lap pool.
3 Civic Plaza also includes 348-suite residential units and a five-floor KPU campus.
It’s Surrey’s first mixed-use hotel, education and residential project, said Century Group president Sean Hodgins.
Century Group’s other major projects include the Southlands development in Tsawwassen.
In a recent interview, project manager Brad Semke said they expect to have a “Discovery Centre” on site by late fall or early next spring to give potential homebuyers a chance to learn more about the evolving community.
