Delta wants more restrictions on cannabis cultivation in ALR

Each year, municipalities are invited to submit resolutions for debate at the annual UBCM convention, held in September. This is an opportunity to raise issues of regional or provincial interest and make recommendations as to how the provincial government might deal with those concerns.

Other resolutions that were endorsed by council include: preservation of archaeological artifacts; funding for climate change adaption – flood protection; outstanding statutory rights of way and water sustainability act review times.

Delta is also sending its resolution regarding money laundering in casinos to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), which will be held the last week in May in Quebec City.
