Delta police are once again reminding the public to either lock their vehicles or remove all their valuables after a rash of thefts.

In a post on their Facebook page, police say during the past 24 hours there have been 11 incidents reported to police in which all of the cars were unlocked and thieves helped themselves to a variety of items.

“While we are investigating, and increasing patrols, we ask residents of Delta to be auto crime alert,” said Delta police. “Ensure that your vehicles are locked and your windows are closed, and that you do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Valuables include everything from wallets, to loose change, sunglasses, and garage door openers.”

Residents who believe they have been a victim of auto crime can make a report by calling police at 604-946-4411.
