The Brown family is paying it forward again this Christmas.
Their Christmas Day Jingle & Mingle Community Dinner is free and open to anyone looking for a place to connect with others.
“The whole gist of it is [to] create community,” says Jeff Brown, who along with his mom Shirley are helping put on the dinner for the third straight year.
There will be socializing, card and board games, and a performance from Rachael Chatoor.
“Her music is so soothing,” says Shirley.
Last year’s dinner saw attendance double with approximately 100 people joining in.
Vagellis Grill & Lounge is helping out again by providing use of its kitchen.
The dinner takes place Monday, Dec. 25 at Fishermen’s Hall, 4481 Savoy St., Ladner. Doors open at 3:30 while dinner is set for 5 p.m.
