Innovative science workshops for kids

DIGIVATIONS fosters the next generation of innovators by teaching youth and adults about science, engineering, technology and math through integration of cultural arts, narrative and movement.

DIGIVATIONS was awarded the NASA Summer of Innovation Mini-Grant to bring children's enrichment workshops (grades 4 to 9) to the Point Roberts Community Center for three Saturdays in August.

Each workshop runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

. Aug. 6 - Robotics - Hands Down!

. Aug. 13 - Ride the Wind: Compressed Air Rocketry

. Aug. 20 - Finding Impact craters and water systems Younger children may participate in workshop activities if accompanied by an adult.

Fee is $10 (plus a $10 material fee for use of all LEGO materials and some take home science projects).
