Ready, set, learn this Thursday

Delta School District is hosting several Ready, Set, Learn events on Thursday at Delta Manor Education Centre in Ladner.

Intended for families and their three-to five-year-old children, Ready, Set, Learn is all about providing good information about how to support a young child’s early learning and development. It also develops positive connections between families, the school system and local community agencies.

Families who attend an event at a local school take part in play-based activities while finding out about early learning programs and services.

Get tips and ideas for activities that encourage young children to become lifelong learners. Topics include:

·       Talking

·       Books

·       Numbers

·       Feelings

·       Getting Along with Others

·       The Wider World

·       Play

·       TV and Electronic Media

·       Vision and Hearing

·       Physical Activity

·       Healthy Snacks

On Thursday between 9:30 and 11 a.m., Ladner, Neilson Grove, Port Guichon and Hawthorne elementary schools will host events.
