Search continues for missing Tsawwassen First Nation man

Search efforts for a missing Tsawwassen First Nation man have intensified. Waylon Joe, 36, was last seen on the evening of Aug. 13 at his home in the 1700-block of Tsawwassen Drive. Friends say it is out of character for Joe to venture far from home.

Search efforts for a missing Tsawwassen First Nation man have intensified.

Waylon Joe, 36, was last seen on the evening of Aug. 13 at his home in the 1700-block of Tsawwassen Drive.

Friends say it is out of character for Joe to venture far from home.

Family and friends say they are very concerned for his well-being as he has never been out of contact for this length of time.

He is described as 5’10”, 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Family and friends conducted a search of the foreshore on Monday and on Tuesday afternoon Surrey Search and Rescue was called in to conduct a comprehensive search of the area by ground and air.

A team of Delta police investigators is also continuing efforts to locate Joe. As of Wednesday morning, there was no update provided by DPD.
