Delta police were in the middle of quite the fishy situation early Sunday morning.

Just before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, officers were called to a semi-truck roll-over on Highway 17 at the Highway 91 connector.

“A semi pulling a fully loaded trailer of frozen fish was westbound on the South Fraser Perimeter Road and attempted a southbound turn onto the connector and flipped on its side,” said DPD public affairs coordinator Cris Leykauf in an email to the Optimist. “Both occupants were uninjured and fortunately traffic was able to flow around in all directions. The truck needed to be unloaded before it could be moved. It was towed later that day and will be inspected.”
