Tsawwassen could soon have a new yoga studio.
Delta council granted preliminary approval this week for a zoning amendment that would see a yoga studio set up shop in the former Starbucks location in the Windsor Woods complex. The application will now go to a public hearing.
The former Starbucks is one of three commercial units owned by Southcliff Properties Ltd. in a building adjacent to 56th Street. Another mixed use building in the area has eight commercial units that are owned by Century Group.
The rezoning application is required in order to introduce an indoor recreation facility use to the current zone.
During the initial public consultation, the availability of parking was cited as a concern of nearby residents.
