Delta council has given the green light for a developer to begin a consultation process for a proposed 40-unit townhouse project on Ladner’s 57th Street.
At Monday’s council meeting, civic politicians received a staff report advising that Maple Leaf Homes has submitted an application to redevelop properties in the 4800- and 4900-blocks of 57th Street.
The development calls for the properties, which were purchased as part of a land assembly about three years ago, to be consolidated and developed into a three-storey project.
The consultation process will include placing public notice signs on both frontages of the site, sending letters to surrounding property owners and holding a public information meeting.
