Delta police are seeking the public’s help after a Ladner man with Alzheimer’s has been reported missing.

According to DPD, John Kay, 72, went missing from his Ladner home around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Kay is described as Caucasian, 5’10” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a grey and black pullover fleece, black jeans and black sunglasses when he left his home.

Kay suffers from Alzheimer’s, and may appear to be confused or disoriented.

“John’s family is very worried about him and would appreciate it if anyone sees him to contact Delta police right away,” said DPD public affairs coordinator Cris Leykauf. “Apparently John is familiar with public transit and has gone to the airport and to the Waterfront Skytrain station in the past.”

If you believe you have seen Kay you are asked to contact police at 604-946-4411.
