Delta police continue to investigate a collision between a vehicle and a teen cyclist on Wednesday afternoon in Ladner.

A teen cyclist sustained a broken ankle and some bumps and bruises following a collision with a vehicle on Ladner Trunk Road Wednesday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Ladner Trunk and Linden Drive around 2:30 p.m.

According to Delta police, a group of teens was cycling westbound on Ladner Trunk Road when one apparently bumped the tires of another’s bike, which sent one teen and his bike into traffic striking an eastbound travelling vehicle.

DPD public affairs coordinator Cris Leykauf said police are still investigating and could not say whether any tickets or charges would be laid.

She said the driver was cooperative with officers. DPD victim services was called in to assist at the scene.
