For the last 23 years I have raised a family in Beach Grove, and last Thursday night, our beloved cat JC was found dead from being drowned by what we can only imagine as a deranged person who lives in our neighbourhood.

His waterlogged body had been placed on the side of the road around the corner from our house and was discovered by a neighbour out walking his dog around 11 p.m.

This letter is being sent to inform readers and to warn the residents of Beach Grove of a cruel neighbour, one that hurts innocent animals. Your cats are not safe, not just from raccoons and coyotes but from a cruel human being that thinks nothing of drowning cats and squirrels because they come onto their property.
