Is it my imagination or are we, in Tsawwassen and Point Roberts, experiencing higher levels of coal dust this summer and autumn?

Maybe I should be less assuming and refer to it as "black stuff that falls out of the air onto our cars, boats and windowsills; that we breathe in with every breath we take. Stuff that has no connection to the coal port and is not harmful."

I understand there are monitors within our area to check the levels of this stuff that is not coal dust. Where are these monitors? Who maintains them? Who sees the readings? Are our elected representatives, Vicki Huntington, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, and the mayor and council, aware or concerned?

With these visible and undesirable reminders of port activity, do we wish to see the Roberts Bank terminal expanded?
