A new gadget has been designed to prevent damage in vehicles where rodents chew through electrics and wiring, under the engine hood. It works by releasing an ultra-high-frequency noise that is inaudible to humans but apparently the equivalent of a jackhammer to rodents with the acoustic pressure rated at 85dB (rock concert in your engine bay) It is a dedicated 12 Volt ultrasonic mouse deterrent for automobiles thatdraws only as much power as a clock. The device was designed after the need for something to protect automobiles from rodents nesting and ultimately resulting in damage to your vehicle. The machine effectively makes the area that it is installed painful place to build nests and ultimately deterring damage. It works great for protecting your new vehicle from rodent damage that is not covered by your new car warranty.  Another deterrent is anti-rodent insulated repair tape laced with capsaicin from hot chilli peppers.
