Editor: During this summer, there have been young people periodically jumping off Westham Island Bridge.
Not only from the bridge railings, but from the pilings that are around the bridge as well as from the very top of the bridge.
Not only have the police been called but TransLink has been notified, since the bridge is in their jurisdiction. The young ones have no idea how the river works under the bridge or I'm sure they would think twice before jumping. How sad it would be for a young one to seriously injure themselves or even to die because of what they are doing. Please parents, know what your young ones are doing in their spare time!
