Editor: The debate about the AM radio station antennas being proposed for Point Roberts may be causing some residents of the Tsawwassen area to believe the telephone cables connected to their homes are, in some way, substandard. This is not the case at all.
The cables used in the telephone network are constructed of the highest quality materials and designed to provide many decades of service under the harshest weather conditions.
It should also be noted that problems associated with radio station interference on in-home telephone wiring are rare.
