I am concerned about the Delta Chamber of Commerce's reported endorsement of the Southlands proposal.
Of the chamber's 400 members, 104 responded to the survey, with 65 per cent in favour. In other words, about 67 members out of 400, or 16.75 per cent, are in favour.
This is hardly a ringing endorsement and in no way deserves such a headline or the statement from the chamber that "after listening to our members through the survey our board of directors presents the chamber's support."
Let's not distort the facts, folks.
