I was touched to read Corry Anderson-Fennell's column, which was so very well written and so true.

The younger generations have no idea what we seniors have gone through, especially if we lived during the depression in England and the Second World War with all the bombings and rationings.

I had one of the best mothers in the world, but didn't appreciate her or tell her.

So thank you, Corry, for reminding us.
